Every time we celebrate the Mass, by the power of the Holy Spirit, Jesus’ body and blood are present to us. So when we say that we don’t get something out of it, something has to change in us. That’s why I think it’s important to go and see what Jesus said. When people said to Him, ‘This teaching is hard,’ what did Jesus say? He said, ‘It is the Spirit that gives life, while the flesh is to no avail. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life.’ |
