Wisdom from Bible and the Sacraments

What we do in the Mass has deep roots in the Old Testament. In fact, Peter said that the precious blood of Christ offered as an unblemished lamb was part of God's plan from before "the foundations of the world" (1 Peter 1:19-20). We see this especially in the Bible's depictions of Melchizedek, Abraham, and the Passover.
