More Wisdom from Edward Sri

Is every person in the US free to converse in Chinese? In the classical sense of freedom, no. Only those who have acquired a degree of fluency in this language are free to converse in it. The person who does not have this skill is not free to speak Chinese, no matter how hard he tries and no matter how much he may desire to do so. True freedom requires a certain skill that gives the person the ability to perform actions with excellence. And the same is true with life as a whole.
