More Wisdom from Dr. Scott Hahn

When Christ rose from the dead, he didn’t switch a bright overhead light on in heaven, completely destroying the darkness that shrouded what awaits us after death. He gave us more of a night light, making some things clear while leaving other things a mystery. But to Christians, that doesn't matter. The night light is sufficient because Jesus is there. Much like the presence of a mother or father can completely chase away a child’s fears of the dark, Jesus’s presence chases away our fear of death. We know he will be there to greet us, and that is enough.
