Jesus prayed, ‘That they may be one even as we are one. That they may become perfectly one.’ And some translations say, ‘That they may be perfected in unity.’ Why? So that the world may know that the Father sent the Son. The Church is supposed to be unified so that the world can look at her and say, ‘Ah yes, look at the Christians, how they love one another. Look at the Christians, their unity. The Father must have sent the Son.’
