In some mysterious way, just as the old covenant, Passover, brought the Jewish people back in time to that first Exodus, so, too, the new Passover of the Eucharist takes us back to the night when Jesus died for us. It takes us back to the night of the Last Supper. It takes us back to his Passion and all the way to the Cross.
