A desert is a place of suffering, and the reality is that it’s a part of the Christian life. The Spirit leads Jesus to the desert, the Spirit leads Jesus to the cross. It’s a part of all of our journeys. We don’t want to go to the desert, we don’t want to go to suffering. Who does? But sometimes the Spirit leads us. |
