Those who exercise a prophetic role should not be surprised if they meet with coldness or even opposition. They may not be easy to live with, because they may concentrate on comforting the afflicted, they may unconsciously afflict the comfortable. People who live mediocre lives or who prefer to remain comfortable in their social nests may think the prophets upset the status quo and accuse them of being disturbers of the peace. |
